We're gettin' outta this town!

Yup! You heard me right.

We are MOVING!!!!!

We found another little basement apartment not too far from where we are now, it's actually in the same stake.

We are SOOOO excited about this place though. New carpet, new kitchen tile, remodeled bathroom (with BEAD BOARD!), and a WASHER and DRYER!!! Sorry mom and dad, you won't be seeing me around all the time carrying my huge laundry baskets anymore.

We are moving in during the middle of April sometime. We will let you know when we are moved in and I will post some pictures of our new place! :)

jacob black

I heart him.

And these lines from New Moon make my heart break:

Jacob Black: Please stay here. For Charlie. For me.
Bella Swan: I have to go.
Jacob Black: I'm begging you. Please.
Bella Swan: Goodbye, Jacob.

I just saw the movie for the second time.... it makes me so sad.

sick day

Why the sad picture? Work was soooooo crazy this week. This is how all the kids looked this week. We had teachers out this week because they were sick and we had a bunch of kids sick this week as well. Some of these kids stayed home... and the rest came and were just grumpy and fussy all day long. And a group of four fussy, sick toddlers is NEVER a good thing. Since we only had 4 kids (we normally have 8. The ratio is 2 teachers to 8 kids) I ended up in the room all by myself each day. one day this poor little baby girl was screaming because she was so tired and so so so so sick and I wanted to sit down and just cry with her!! Ahhh!!!!!! Please tell me that parenthood is easier than watching a bunch of sick toddlers! I like to tell myself that after watching 8 kids all at once, having just one kid at a time will be a breeze....

right??

Each night this week before I went to bed I would tell Steven, "Hey! Maybe I'll be sick and I won't have to go in tomorrow!" Well, Thursday morning, I woke up with a sore throat, stuffy nose, bad cough, and I was barely able to talk. My wish had been granted.

It was probably the best sick day I've ever had. This is what I did:

I ate TONS of girl scout cookies while watching nearly half of the 6th season of Gilmore Girls, it was wonderful. The peanut butter cookies are by far my favorite.

I also read this book:
This is one I've been wanting to read for a while and so I was ssooo happy to finally get to read it!! I have read several of this author's books and I LOVE her.

This book is about a woman named Jane living in New York who is obsessed with Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth kind). Her Great Aunt finds out about this obsession and so she buys Jane a... "vacation" to a place in England where the guests get to dress up as people from the Austen time-period for three weeks and live the lifestyle. Not only that, but they have actors who try to "woo" the women visiting. Jane goes in hopes that she will be cured of her Darcy obsession.

Overall, I liked this book, but the "wooing" got a bit cheesy (even for someone like me who loooves Austen movies) and the whole idea of it was a little hard to believe. I still enjoyed it though and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo nice to read a book that wasn't a TEXT BOOK or something.

Such a great sick day, I want another one already.

Guess what!

I don't need a root canal!!!! I'm SOOO HAPPY!

I know what you must be thinking... It must've just been a really bad cavity... right?

Wrong.

In fact, Sanford couldn't find anything wrong with the tooth at all.

Most of the appointment I listened to him mumbling while looking at the x-ray about how it could be a crack in the middle of the tooth... or perhaps a sensitive nerve? But it didn't look like it was either of those.

Then he mentioned that if I put a lot of pressure on my teeth from locking my jaw or grinding my teeth that it could make my tooth hurt a lot.

I told him that I do both of those things all the time (several voice teachers have tried to make me break this habit)!

So, he adjusted the filling on my tooth so that I wasn't biting on it so hard and then prescribed me some weird tooth paste that is supposed to help it... if not then I have to call him back.

So, that is the story of my first real toothache. I hope you weren't too bored with my story, but as you can tell, I'm REALLY glad I didn't need a root canal... and let's hope that I NEVER do.

Root Canal????

AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. I don't know if I need one.... yet. I have a tooth that has been hurting for a little over a week. Whenever I drink something really cold it hurts.

But today, it hurt all on its own.

I knew it was time to make an appointment with good ole Uncle Sanford Hamilton (steven's uncle).

I have just been told by an old neighbor of mine (her dad is a dentist) that when your tooth hurts
because of cold or heat... I most likely need a root canal.

Please, please say it ain't so!!!!

My appointment is on Wednesday... I'll keep you updated on the situation... until then, please cross your fingers and pray for me and whisper kind words of comfort.
