I have a test in two days, a test that I haven't even begun to study for. I really REALLY want to make some chex nutty-buddies, even though I've already eaten two brownies (no, I'm not pregnant, thank you for asking.). To help with my boredom and to stay away from more sweets, I will post a blog.
Since I said in my "fall to-do list" that I was going to do make some Halloween Decorations, I thought I should post some that I do. I finished these blocks just last night and I'm fairly pleased with the results. The only thing I am not pleased with is the letters. Normally for holiday blocks I use rub-on or stick-on letters, but I couldn't find any I liked so I went with a stencil to paint the letters on... and I will avoid doing it again at ALL costs.
I had to redo the "H" in "Happy" three times. I had to keep putting new paper on and then redoing it. It just came out gloopy each time. And that "a" in happy? oh goodness. those squiggle marks were so NOT on purpose. I would've fixed it but I was out of that orange paper. all well... the squiggles aren't so bad I suppose. :) There were some others (as I'm sure you can see) that needed fixing as well but I only fixed the worse ones because I just wanted to be done.
despite the silly stenciled letters, I still like them. And now, I think I'll go study.

- take Rock n' Roll (this is actually a real class I am taking) exam for today
- do other homework for today
- write a discussion post for Online Class by saturday night
- write small paper for online class, by saturday night
- take a test for online class, also by saturday night
- go to Christal and Daniel's wedding tonight
- go to Becca's baby shower on Saturday morning
- go to temple with Steven
- go to women's conference with my dear mother
- go grocery shopping
-have in-laws over for dinner for the first time
- clean house for in-laws
-make food for in-laws (which hopefully, will be edible)
Things I have already tackled:
- natalie's baby shower
- rock n' roll test
- Online test

i have to admit, this was the stuff I was the most worried about so it's nice to have it out of the way. I got the online paper, discussion post, and test all done within about an hour and 15 minutes. And I even got an A- on the test! awesome!

Fall is here!!!!
So... pretty much... fall is probably my favorite season of the year. I'm not sure what makes me love it so much... I am not a summer person mainly because I am not a fan of really hot weather (It makes me feel icky). I do enjoy having no school and going on trips and such though. Once September rolls around I love being able to wear my slippers and sweatshirts while drinking hot cocoa. I love curling up on the couch with a blanket and watching movies. And of course.... I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! I am not sure why... but I just love spooky things. A silly fact about myself: I get excited for halloween in the middle of july every year.
In honor of the first day of fall, I am going to write a list of things I plan on doing this fall:
*making awesome halloween decorations
*make jack-o-lanterns
*get a vanilla-cream-steamer from starbucks with pumpkin flavoring
*make soup, soup, and more SOUP!
*make pumpkin cookies
*enjoy Fall break
*go to haunted houses
*go up the canyon to look at fall leaves
*Eat a very large thanksgiving dinner
*go to the U football games!!
*go to (and help plan.... gotta love being on the activities committee) the neighborhood soup and pie social - I'm mainly excited about the eating part, not the setting up/helping part...
*wear awesome fall sweaters - oh wait... I need to BUY some first
*buy some awesome new boots
*wear my new (and first) pair of skinny jeans, something I thought I'd never get, but I found a pair that works with my larrrge legs
That's all I've got for now. I will probably come up with more later.
Oh wait... I kind of want to try a snuggie. ha ha.

Bargain mirrors
So, here's the scoop. About a month or so ago.... I was moseying through Tai Pan and I found these 8 x 10 inch mirrors that were on sale for $2.50. I was with a friend and we talked about how cute it would be to get a few of those and arrange them in a cute way.... Well... after we left I kept thinking about them. I had been looking for one big mirror to put in our living room (they say mirrors make a room look bigger).. but large mirrors can be quite expensive. I kept thinking about it and decided to get a few. I went back and the mirrors weren't $2.50 anymore... they were $1.96!!!!!!!! So I got six of them... all for about $12.00. They were white originally and Steven and I both thought that they didn't stand out very much against our wall, so I spray painted them dark brown (PS - if you live in a basement NEVER spray paint inside. I wasn't smart and me and Steven both paid for it.)
Plus, the corners were all yellow and icky... so they needed to be painted anyways.
After I painted them I sanded the edges a little bit to give them an antiquey look.
After they were all done I was trying to figure out some fun way I could arrange them all and hang them. Unfortunately, I am not that creative and couldn't think of any combination that I didn't think would look strange. I called my sister-in-law for help and we both decided it'd probably look best if I just did them in three in a row. We hung them up and very sadly... I'm not sure how I feel about it. I am starting to get used to it but at first I was a bit disappointed because it looked cuter in my head. I'm not sure if I'll keep them up there or not.
Let me know what you think!

Give your dad a hug.
Isn't this picture heart wrenching???
We just dropped my sister off today at the MTC. I thought I was going to be ok.... then my dad started to cry...so I did.
These were the guys talking to Katherine in spanish. She was annoyed because she doesn't know spanish... I found it rather humorous.
This is a picture of her right after she got set apart.
Well, there you have it. She will be back in 18 months. In the mean time... I get to go through her closet. :)

Glee
If you haven't watched the new show "Glee", then you should watch it. I think it could very possibly be in my top 5.
